Preparing + Loading Your Trees
At McAuliffe’s Valley Nursery, we value our customers and want to put your needs first. Once you have selected your plants, our friendly, experienced staff will prep and load your B&B trees and shrubs into your vehicle. We prepare most trees by removing the plastic pot, cutting back excess roots and mulch, and covering the root ball with clean burlap. This method preps the root ball for transport and ensures good root growth for transplanting. 

With a burlapped ball, the tree can be loaded and moved around much easier and has less chance of getting damaged while in transport as well. Most deciduous trees and some evergreen trees, have a broad branching structure that can easily get harmed in the transition from our nursery to your location. To help keep your plants safe, we twine the branches together for added protection. The trees can then be easily loaded into your car, truck, or trailer. This preparation method is very unique to the retail nursery industry, but it’s been proven to be the best method for loading and transporting trees.
Recycle Your Pots: Please bring us your empty pots for recycling . . . it’s good for the environment and we are able to reuse them, which helps us keep our costs down!
Delivery
We offer curbside delivery services for all of the plant material that we grow and sell here at the nursery. The cost will depend on the size of the order and your delivery address. Please see the link below to view our Delivery Policy.
